Juicing & Joints

I got back on the juicing wagon about a month ago and

noticed after about a week my joints started bothering

me. After about 3 weeks they were really killing me

and I wondered if there was a correlation. Sure enough

2 days after I stopped juicing my joints quit hurting

and have been fine ever since. I was drinking about 20

oz. of 50/50 kale/carrot juice per day. Anyone have

any thoughts on why this was happening? Detox?

Thanks,

Paul

My sister found a similar problem and it ended when she dropped the greens to

about 10% of her juice. Don't know why, it was just her experience.

Peace,

Valerie

Hi,

I suspect that although it may indeed be good to have SOME greens, one

can also have too many. I think some of the raw gurus go overboard

with the green juices, which are possibly more useful for people with

cancer or something than for your average Joe. There's a line of

thought that plants have toxic chemicals in them to prevent themselves

being eaten, but the fruit doesn't because, of course, it would make

no sense.

I also don't really believe the fashionable assertion that veggie

juices are good and fruit juices are bad (because of the sugar).

Sugars (and fats) are the body's only fuels. We need to get them from

somewhere!

Love and light,

Graeme
