Guest guest
Hi! My name is Denise Thomas and my family and I are raw foodists who have recently moved to Los Angeles. I have been searching for other families who eat raw foods and haven't found very many. It can be challenging to change one's diet to raw foods and is even more challenging to change our children's diet to raw foods. It is also in many ways easier for the whole family to eat the same foods. I have started a especially for raw families and " raw families-to-be " so that we can share our successes and challenges. It is not exclusive to people in or near L.A., but my intention is to eventually have a group of people who meet when we get enough people connected through this group! If you are interested in joining, please visit: LArawfamilies My family is also very interested in Intentional Community. We are open to Cohousing or Ecovillage living and are curious to know whether it would be possible to start a community of raw foodists who live near each other to offer support, share meals and possibly raw food business opportunities. Since we have children, we are especially interested in raw food families who are interested in community, but the intention of this group is more for anyone with children or without who eats raw food and who is curious about, wants to discuss or find out more about intentional community. We will be focusing on the Los Angeles area, however we are open to hearing from others who might want to share helpful information with us who live elsewhere and we welcome any raw foodist who is considering moving to the area. If you are interested in joining, please visit: LArawcommunity Thank you! Please feel free to pass on this e-mail to anyone whom you think might be interested in joining either one of these groups. Guest guest
It's very challenging for me to change my diet to raw foods but I'm succeeding for now. I wish more children were brought up raw, it would help the movement tremendously. I imagine that's how Christianity got its start and look at it now. I think it's alright to not give children a choice about it. Be even dictatorial in their food choices, don't let anyone give them anything but raw food. That way they'll grow up loving it and it'll be their eating choice without being bothered about thoughts of eating cooked. Of course, if they hit 15 or so and absolutely demand to eat cooked then they're not meant for this lifestyle, so let them eat cooked. But most children grow up loving whatever it is they do as youngsters, that's why us budding raw foodists are attracted to cooked food. It would be easier for the whole family to eat the same foods, nothing wrong with raising a child raw from birth. I would like to live in an intentional community of raw foodists, maybe I can do that someday. rawfood , " denisedthomas " <denisedthomas> wrote: > It can be challenging to change one's diet to raw foods > and is even more challenging to change our children's diet to > raw foods.
