Guest guest
I don't think I ever did an introduction here so I'll answer the welcome dialogue you posted. My name is Rich, I live in King of Prussia, PA, suburb of Philadelphia. I'm a 100% raw foodist and have about a month and a half at it. My interest in raw foods is mostly from a spiritual growth standpoint, I feel more connected to God's will in my life eating this way. I also recognize the humanitarian goodness of eating this way, leaving the animals unkilled and unpenned and drastically cleaning up and improving the environment. It's just a much simpler, happy, easy way to eat. My goals for the future are to just eat raw one day at a time for the rest of my life, advocate the raw food diet in any way I can, and grow comfortable eating this way. I'm still struggling hard being new to this. No health problems yet but eating the standard American diet, smoking and drinking would certainly lead to health problems sooner or later. Hopefully, I can avoid that eating raw. From my membership, I'd just like to achieve raw food support, getting and answering questions and comments and just having a place where I can process my thoughts and feelings about the raw food diet, a meeting place as they say in 12-step programs. I'd like to check in daily depending on the amount of traffic on here (this forum, " rawfood, " has enough traffic, it's the only one that seems to) so I can have a meeting a day and give myself a focus point to maintain my raw diet. From raw foods, I'd like to achieve peace of mind with God's will in my life, enlightenment of personality, thoughts, feelings, excellent relations with others, excellent health, and a comfortable diet. I eat fresh, whole, raw fruits, vegetables and nuts. I don't eat, nor do I want anything processed. I'm not into recipes, just pick it up and eat it is my motto. All I need is a knife and a cutting board and a spoon for avocados. If it says raw on the package, that's good enough for me (in reference to the raw nuts controversy). I fill my little plastic bags with produce each day and go about my activities. It's so fast and easy to eat without cooking and preparing meals. A goal is to spend my time doing other things and get my concentration off food. If I have to eat out, I just have raw salad, that's as much combining as I want to see too. I like to just eat one item at a time, as much of different items as I want at each meal, generally about four or five different fruits and vegetables and a few raw nuts thrown in occassionally. I rely on avocados for that fatty, filling food need. Well that was a longer introduction than I had planned, I hope I demonstrated my passion for raw food eating. Anyone else want to try the introduction? Rich From the " RawFoodsBeginners " : Hello, Welcome to the Raw Food Beginners' Group at Groups! Guest guest
Thank you for the welcome, faceless, spaceless cybercadet. I guess it's good, in a way, that we can't talk or see each other, no prejudices or preconceived ideas that way. Here's to meeting you on the airwaves. rawfood , gaynell andress <andressgaynell> wrote: > > Thanks, Rich, > That was a nice introduction..Nice meeting you and welcome.. > Gaynell
