Just curious: How many people were at the potluck and what kind of

food items did they bring? Did you bring a " produce " dish to share?

Or was all the raw food prepared by the vegan cafe?

There was only one person there when I arrived shortly before

twelve. She's been to the last four at the same location. We sat

around for probably a half an hour before someone else showed up. He

mentioned that he started the meetup in Phila. a couple years ago but

was no longer heading it up. He shared some coconut with us and is a

big fan of the raw restaurants in NY I've seen shared on here. About

1:20 the organizer, Mark showed up, he had e-mailed everyone that he

would be late. So four altogether. It was very cold though, that

may have kept some people away, they said they had about six last

time. No one brought anything, we ate at the restaurant, they had

some avocados and apples in a basket for sale so I ate some of

those. But if I was to go to a raw potluck at someone's home, I

would bring some sliced up vegetables and maybe fruit. The others

ate the raw items offered by the cafe.

Interesting. I guess I need to rethink my idea of " potluck. " I had

always thought it meant people bringing a dish to share, although

traditionally it would involve a gathering outside of a food-serving

establishment. So one wouldn't normally think of a raw food potluck

being held in a restaurant.
