Guest guest
I don't think anyone ever said anything bad about Quintessence. Quintessence is wonderful. I highly recommend it. I said that I got food poisoning from Caravan of Dreams. And that Carvavan failed a health inspection. I have been going to and talking with others who eat at Quintessence nearly every day. I have yet to hear of any one getting sick except for those who over eat mixed with bad food combining choices. You can get very ill from eating a lot of raw food that do not mix well. That is your choice. You cannot get food poisoning from a raw food source where everyone wears rubber gloves and hats and the turnover is daily. I interned in the kitchen and I know first hand they do not sell if it is not available Organic, they never have food more than 3 days old, they always where, hats and gloves, and they do not hide anything from anyone. I am really tiered of people slamming the only store in the world that truly cares, tries hard and does not compromise by offering the purest, cleanest, tastiest, organic, vegan, kosher, RAW FOOD. We should give them a dam mettle for opening the raw food market to the world. None of these other would exist if it was not for Quintessence. Go ask them to see the kitchen, they will show you. Health dept inspection reports are posted in the restaurant. If you got sick, you ate the wrong things, not at the wrong place.
Guest guest
I spoke to Quintessence at length today and have to totally agree with the post below. If you went to a doctor and received a diagnosis of food posing then so be it...post till your hearts content. However, I doubt that is the case. Have you ever heard of bad food combining and besides.how do you get food poising from raw food? Now very likely! Thus, it must be something else that upsets your system? I too wouldn't like someone trashing me with loose wording especially on a raw food board. Gee... The only one in the whole world? That's pretty extreme isn't it? Lane, (who is a fan, and frequent user of Qintessence and agree that it is great.) I also like Caravan of Dreams and Daily soup to name a couple.
Guest guest
NOBODY was trashing Quintessence. Someone is confused here. The food poisoning was from Caravan of Dreams. You can indeed get food poisoning from raw food. Foods left out at the wrong temperatures for too long, unclean dishes or servers. Guest guest
I don't input much but will say the past two occasions once last year, once two weeks ago, I thought I had food poisoning it was actually a very bad case of a stomach virus which mimicked food poisoning in its symptoms. which my doctor confirmed. my best, perryanne =) - Steven rawfood Monday, February 14, 2005 9:47 PM RE: [Raw Food] Quintessence cleanlyness I spoke to Quintessence at length today and have to totally agree with the post below. Guest guest
I think there's been a big MIScommunication here. Vegwriter posted that s/he had gotten food poisoning at Caravan of Dreams, NOT Quintessence. However, we had been talking about Quintessence right before that so that's how the confusion happened. Now it seems to have gotten out of hand. NO ONE said that Quintessence was unclean or failed health inspections. swing --- Steven <rawfasting wrote: > > I spoke to Quintessence at length today and have to > totally agree with the > post below.
