Guest guest
I am the one who got food poisoning after eating raw food at Caravan. It was in April of 2002. I know the owner and he is a nice man. Judy This must be an unmoderated group, because the accusation about the alleged health problems at Caravan got through without any reference to times, dates, etc. I would have demanded a link, info, something for such a damaging statement. How can a flippant statement like that go un-noticed? What's up with that? Personally, I wouldn't pay any attention to it until proof was submitted or at least referenced to a link. Caravan is a great place and the people there are not there for the money: they love what they do and are genuinely nice. As I said before, I would go there more if they had a permanent " sunburger " on the menu. Guest guest
I contacted (or looked up online) the NYC health department reports to see if Caravan had any violations and it turned out they did. It's an old courtroom tactic, so that's why it caught my attention. By the Jesse vegwriter wrote: I am the one who got food poisoning after eating raw food at Caravan. It was in April of 2002. He's easy to talk to, so you might like to ask him yourself. I met him in a sufi class before I knew of his restaurant . Judy

Guest guest
Hello all, It's been quite a while since I've posted, but this keeps coming up, so I thought I'd put in my .02. I honestly don't get what is so great about Caravan of Dreams. Even before I was raw I thought it was ok at best. Since I've been raw, I've pretty much stayed away from there because everthing I've ordered, not matter how amazing it sounds on the menu, amounts to not much more than a salad. Don't get me wrong, I love salads, but when I'm paying upwards of $12 for a meal, I think Quintessence gives you more bang for your buck. Having said that, I know that they're great people and really care about what they do. I'm just not convinced that they do it so well. One idiot's opinion...
