Lupus help?

<Well I have lupus and I fasted with Dr. Furhman for three weeks. It

helped a lot. I find if I eat any cooked food all my symptons return

though. Lane

hi - i have a friend i just found out has the severest

form of lupus.. & nbsp; wondering if anyone has any specific

info/links regarding raw food diet and lupus? & nbsp; and

what book to give her to start her out - one of joel

Well then stop eating cooked food. Lupus will never goes completely away but

you can keep all the symptoms at bay 100% of the time. However, you will

have to stay on a living food diet. How long did you wait until you ate

cooked food after the fast?

Prolly 2 years or so. But symptons returned before that. But it was a

long time ago and maybe I was eating healthy cooked food, (is that an

oxymoron?) at the time. Dr Furhrman does not advocate a completer

raw diet. Thanks, lane

I know he doesn't advocate a completely raw diet but he's mostly raw and the

other foods are basically steamed. Very little healthy cooked food. Yes kale

is more easily digested and actually releases more nutrients when its

lightly steamed. It's a very dense food thus the hygienists don't recommend

it. Broccoli has the same constitution.

I havent been diagnost with Lupus, but I just recently went to my doctor

complaining of what I thought were food reactions. He did a full work up on me

and found out that my ANA (anti-nuclear antibodies) test was positive and very

high, which is a sign of lupus. He is retesting me in a couple months before we

come close to trying to diagnos it, but I have had symtoms since I was 16. So I

immediately got online and researched it and that is what led me here to raw

foods. I havent gone completely " cold turkey " from cooked foods. but I have

gradually gone from vegetarian, to vegan and now am incorporating more raw

foods. I have a goal in mind. March 1st I start a fast with vinegar and water

then I start my raw only for 40 days. That will get me close to the time my

doctor will be testing my ANA's again.
