Guest guest
Hi Debbie, I have a friend who had (note the past tense!!!) Lupus, severe form. She resolved the matter by fasting, but I believe it took a couple of fasts. She also transitioned to raw food, the low fat/high fruit/water/oxygen approach. No Lupus in years, to the best of my knowledge, the " incurable " disease is simply gone. I am presently seeking her permission to connect the two of you (and also for you, Helene), as she is very articulate and bright and eager to share with others. Will F/U privately upon receiving permission. Elchanan Debbie S. Guest guest
Hi Tara, I'm curious what has let you to choose fasting with vinegar and water rather than just water? Vinegar is basically a mixture of 1 part acetic acid (yes, pure acid) with 19 parts water. Acetic acid is sold to chemical labs in jugs labeled with a skull-and-crossbones; in this form it is deadly. But reduced to a 5% solution, commercial organizations are permitted to sell it as " food. " When you are fasting, your body will cleanse deeply. Cleansing will release large quantities of acid, among other things, into your system. Your system will then use alkaline minerals, many also being released during the cleansing process, to neutralize or at least ameliorate the intensity of the acid. This is necessary, otherwise the acid would burn your tissue severely in certain parts of your body, particularly on the way out as urine. By adding acid to an already hyperacidic biochemistry, you will simply impede your own cleansing process, and it is possible even to cause harm to yourself. (This is unlikely unless the quantities of vinegar are large. But you DO have some symptoms that seem to indicate significant underlying toxicity and prior damage to your system.) I have done month+ fasts and know others who have, as well. If you would like more information about fasting, I am happy to correspond with you. Also, a dear friend of mine, Dr. Tim Trader, supervises fasts and is well-known and well-regarded in fasting circles. Tim is a long-term hygienic raw fooder, naturopath, has a Ph.D. in nutrition, is a fabulous athlete with extensive formal education in exercise physiology. He is kind, gentle, and has supervised many, many fasters, He does this privately, not in any kind of " center, " so I will send his contact information privately. If anyone else is interested in connecting here, please write to me privately. Best, Elchanan Tara [peechysweett71] Monday, February 21, 2005 1:53 PM rawfood RE: [Raw Food] Lupus help? I havent been diagnost with Lupus, but I just recently went to my doctor complaining of what I thought were food reactions. He did a full work up on me and found out that my ANA (anti-nuclear antibodies) test was positive and very high, which is a sign of lupus. He is retesting me in a couple months before we come close to trying to diagnos it, but I have had symtoms since I was 16. So I immediately got online and researched it and that is what led me here to raw foods. I havent gone completely " cold turkey " from cooked foods. but I have gradually gone from vegetarian, to vegan and now am incorporating more raw foods. I have a goal in mind. March 1st I start a fast with vinegar and water then I start my raw only for 40 days. That will get me close to the time my doctor will be testing my ANA's again. Guest guest
Here's an idea for you. As the fast progresses, start reducing the quantity of lemon juice in the water. See if you can get it down to a drop or two per glass of water, just enough to create a lemony taste. Just a thought, Elchanan Tara [peechysweett71] Thursday, February 24, 2005 9:04 AM rawfood RE: [Raw Food] Lupus help? Steven <rawfasting wrote: Well then stop eating cooked food. Lupus will never goes completely away but you can keep all the symptoms at bay 100% of the time. However, you will have to stay on a living food diet. How long did you wait until you ate cooked food after the fast?
