Guest guest
Charlie, Yes...at the expense of being thought of as a lower vibration being by those great avatars on the list...I will let you know that I still use organic feta cheese and organic goat milk kefir made with the kefir " grains " . These are the only animal products I use. I dropped the kefir for a few weeks and added it back. Guest guest
Avatar - the incarnation of a Hindu deity, especially Vishnu, in human or animal form. I'm not an avatar yet but maybe someday. Why do people have to be so defensive? I just state what I believe in and let others believe what they want to. If you're secure in yourself there's no reason to use sarcasm. I can't understand anyone who's not secure in themselves. Guest guest
Do tell, do tell. Details details. HOw, How How... Just got my first Kefir grains last weekend and I am delighted!!! I don't notice anything yet (within), but my intuition tells me it is good. I would love to learn how to make GOOD cottage cheese. How long does your raw milk last in your fridge? How long does kefir made from raw milk last? Everytime I purchased raw milk, it would turn FAST, but I figured out it was because my refrigerator was not set cold enough (not quite sure what cold enough is, but I know mine wasn't.) Excited to read your reply! The new kefir kid! Guest guest
Depending on the size and amount of your kefir " grains " ...will depend on how much milk you put them in. I don't use much kefir (1/2 cup a day just for the great probiotics)...so I just use that much milk and keep my kefir grain clump all one and about the size of a walnut in a shell. When it gets bigger I give it to my dog with his tiny portion of kefir...he loves it! Just plop the grain in the milk and it's ready in 24 hours. Scoop the grain out with a wood or plastic spoon and make more. You only need to rinse out the jar every two or three weeks (the experts do it that way)...I was on a kefir list. I use powdered organic goat milk that I buy in bulk, because I stay at the cabin and can't get fresh goat milk easily. It works fine, but fresh goat milk is better. I prefer not to use cow milk at all! Diana of Dewberry Hill Do tell, do tell. Details details. HOw, How How... Just got my first Kefir grains last weekend and I am delighted!!!
