Guest guest
Hi Ariella, Thanks so much for writing back! To others who wrote suggesting books, believe me, we have more books than you can shake a stick at. We know most of the authors personally. We are going to analyze some of the recipes for demonstration purposes. But we are also interested in what people are ACTUALLY eating. This is not reflected in any book of which we are aware. We would be so very grateful if any of you would be willing to help. So I'll repeat the original request here: __________ We would be very grateful if some of you would be kind enough to share what you might eat in a " typical " day. If you have ever kept a food diary and are willing to share some typical days from it, that would be fabulous. We would be particularly appreciative to see some examples of people who consume a lot of green drinks. Also of interest are those who eat quite a bit of raw grains, or nut/seed recipes, or smoothies. If your days are not completely raw, that is okay, but we are particularly interested in 100% raw fooders (or at least your 100% raw days). If your foods eaten include prepared raw (or cooked) recipes, we would appreciate as much detail about the quantities of ingredients that you have available and are willing to pass on (for example, instead of " veggie loaf, " specify " 2 cups walnuts, 4 cups carrots, 2 ounces cabbage " ...or whatever). We don't need the herbs, spices, condiments, lemon juice or other minor ingredients...just the major items that make up the majority of the calories in a recipe. You may share information through the group email if you like, so others can see. Or, if you prefer, share directly with me at VLinfo. __________ Thanks for the opportunity to clarify, Elchanan Ariella [ariellanetanya] Sunday, March 06, 2005 8:10 PM rawfood [Raw Food] re: a typical day I eat differently each day. I am high raw and have been for about 18 months plan on doing a 30 day challenge though starting tomorrow of being all raw - if I make that will go into all raw permanent. I am also 21 to 26 weeks pregnant. If you want to read my journal you are welcome it is at www.eco-centric.it click on UK flag and go to blog. There you will find me and another journaler. He has been all raw for a few years anyway. Hope that helps and that you are able to get all of teh info that you need. Ariella
Guest guest
I just recently started eating raw and alot of the journals show people really do not seem to be eating enough... I would be interested in this also... and if you juice your greens and veggies the reason why.. if you do not mind.. I find it easier to juice my salads as I am not a big salad eater anyway... it is about the only way I can get green veggies in... but I worry about the concentration of this in bothe the veggies or the fruits... how will juicing impact more then eating raw... oh dont get me wrong i do eat whole food to get the fiber.. but on the average i would rather juice... what are your thoughts?? Here is an example of my day.. items change but pretty much the same format every day... Had orange juice in the am with some oatmeal later that morning that had peanut butter in it and some cinnamon. 2 slices of toast, then in the evening had banana, orange, 8oz of juiced green salad of kale, beets with the tops(ok so it isn't green), carrots, celery, ginger, touch of lime. Then an hour before bed had a smoothie of brown rice milk made myself with strawberries and banana. Exercise: 20 minute workout on the ball, walked 20 minutes, Ok now today the 3rd.. has gone much better.. Breakfast: lemon juice with maple syrup Snack: 2 blueberrie bagles with real butter, a tangelo, two handfuls raw almonds, handful sunflower seeds(raw) Smoothie of almond milk made myself and strawberries and blueberries both frozen. All this was really eaten between 10am and 12 noon lunch: juice of kale, sprouted lentiles, butter lettuce, beet with tops, parsley, ginger, lime, celery, water mid snack " small handful almonds, small handfull sunflower seeds, raisins (two handfulls) two bananas, tangelo, pepsi one, Dinner: will have another juiced salad evening snack: will be smoothie with almond milk and strawberriesand blueberries This seems like way too much. Feels like I am eating everytime I turn around... Exercise: rest day Aromatic Wings www.aromaticwings.com

Guest guest
i eat a lot and i'm gassy a lot too. i hope it's just a phase that passes someday, but if not, i'd rather be raw and gassy than SAD and not gassy. maybe it's natural to be gassy a lot, I don't know. rich rawfood , Doreen Nash <doreennash> wrote: > > I am definitely not eating enough, and its making me gassy. Guest guest
Maybe you are right...cows eat raw and they are pretty gassy, yes? --- Froggy <seconaphim wrote: > > > i eat a lot and i'm gassy a lot too. i hope it's > just a phase that > passes someday, but if not, i'd rather be raw and > gassy than SAD and > not gassy. maybe it's natural to be gassy a lot, I > don't know. > > >
Guest guest
Cows that eat grass are not gassy. OTOH, grain-fed cattle consume fully half of all the sodium bicarbonate sold in America, in vain attempts to calm their persistent indigestion. When we eat in accordance with our design, we are fine. When we don't, we reap the consequences. Gassy CAN occur where there is much damage to one's digestive capacity over time, as from long-term or repeated use of antibiotics. But by far the most common cause is simply foods not designed for our species, foods eaten in suboptimal combinations, etc. This is not a problem limited to one one group. Antacids (pink stuff, purple pill etc.) comprise the largest category of drugs sold in America, by far. Guest guest
I don't know, I wasn't gassy eating cooked, but I am eating raw produce and nuts as I combine the three at many meals, at least the vegetables and fruits. My bowel movements are much quicker, easier, and cleaner eating raw though and the feces is a completely different texture, vegetable like, greenish, light and breaks apart easily rather than that slimy brown goop that I had eating cooked. Delicious breakfast conversation, isn't it? rawfood , " INFO @ Vibrant Life " <VLinfo@e...> wrote: > Cows that eat grass are not gassy.
