Guest guest
Hello all... I was reading some of the International Natural Hygeiene Society's website, and saw an article entitled: Fruit: Friend or Foe? by a Dr. Bass, who based much of his results on his work with mice. http://inhs.ms11.net/articles/drbass1.html It looked like a " recent " article. In a nutshell, he seemed quite opposed to a " Frutarian " style diet, esp. against lots of citrus. Has anyone else read the article, and have any thoughts? Thanks much, Bob
Guest guest
I'm trying to increase my fruit based diet (fruit being any seeded items). I think fruit tastes the best and I think maybe over time I'll get used to having a lot of sweet food. But maybe not, I don't know, it's in the learning stage. I do believe that I get all the nutrition I need from eating any raw plant food as my meals, in other words, I don't think I need any particular foods in particular. And there's something weird about crunching hard nuts, I think I rely on them more emotionally than needing them physically, but then again, I don't know if I'll ever really feel a need or desire to give up raw nuts. rawfood , " Bob Farrell " <rjf2@t...> wrote: > In a nutshell, he seemed quite opposed to a " Frutarian " style diet, > esp. against lots of citrus. > > Has anyone else read the article, and have any thoughts? > > > Thanks much, > > Bob
Guest guest
For me.... I sometimes need the crunch.. Most of the fruits I eat are soft and squishy..My crunch from fruit would be an apple but I guess the fat in the nuts help to satisfy more... doesn't take much anymore. Used to be ... I could sit down and eat 2 cups or more.. now I maybe will eat a handful. Especially now since I have been watching when and how I eat. Told hubby today that he is my reason I do not eat right...lol Seems when he gets home that is when I go off plan... Although he has started eating better himself so now when he asks what do we have to munch on? I will hand him an apple or orange or banana or offer a fruit salad, juice or green smoothie..Still can't get him away from the TV dinners..grrrrrrr rawfood , " Froggy " <seconaphim> wrote: .........<snip> And > there's something weird about crunching hard nuts, I think I rely on > them more emotionally than needing them physically, but then again, I > don't know if I'll ever really feel a need or desire to give up raw > nuts. > >
Guest guest
That's it, I'll eat apples for the crunch I need instead of raw nuts. Thanks for reminding me of that, maybe I'll actually do it someday, if I remember. Don't let anyone, including hubby hold you back Debbie. It's nice to care about others but don't let it affect what you want to do and what you know is right. Rich, a man. rawfood , " Debbie " <aromatic_wings> wrote: > > For me....
