Guest guest
Okay, I am officially having problems posting to this group. My apology if this is a duplicate. In any event, this version is updated, so if you received 2 copies, please keep this one. Elchanan _____ Hi everyone, I just had a " hit. " I am realizing that I have perhaps not made two very important points about food combining. First, ALL food combining represents a compromise with Nature. By Nature's design, we would eat only one food at a time, all the time, just as all the other large land-living mammals do. But since we have all grown up eating multiple foods together, and since few of us are willing to let go of that fully, food combining is the next-best, but clearly suboptimal, solution. Second, food combining applies to all people no matter what they are eating. Obviously, for someone who eats pizza and beer and chocolate, some additional guidelines are required. But the principles do not change at all. For example, if our pizza-beer-chocolate lover would simply eat the beer alone without and before the pizza, his system would actually process the beer and the pizza better. Separate the chocolate from the beer and the pizza by a number of hours and you'll see another, usually palpable, improvement. I share this not to encourage anyone to eat pizza, beer, and chocolate, but rather to highlight the significance of food combining. When I encounter someone who is just not ready to hear anything about raw or vegan or even vegetarian foods, sometimes the one thing they will hear is about simply rearranging the foods they already eat. And they can almost always experience noticeable improvement from there starting point, perhaps opening their curiosity for more. The difference between vegetarian and vegetarian properly combined, or between vegan and vegan properly combined, or between raw and raw properly combined, is like night and day in every case. - Improved food combining is the fastest solution to reduce major indigestion almost regardless of diet. (Won't work on 100% candy bars and soda,) - Improved food combining ALWAYS frees up at least some digestive energy and allows the body to begin making some sort of improvement in its condition. (Again, won't work on 100% candy and soda.) - Improved food combining ALWAYS improves digestive efficiency and effectiveness to at least some degree, so that the entire system improves to at least some degree. (Same caveat.) In summary, I strongly encourage everyone to pay great attention to food combining, more perhaps than to any other aspect of what you are learning and more than almost any teacher or student typically imagines. Guest guest
Yes following the rules of food combining can have an impact on a person's life. A friend of mine didn't go vegan, or go raw but just began eating in better combinations and she found that it improved her PMS probelms greatly. Guest guest
Thanks, Myrna. There is one " little catch " for cooked fooders: starch combines well with nothing, so there is a limit as to how far they can improve. But they can gain a lot!
