trusting my body

Hello everyone, I wanted to share how my thinking is changing about my body

through viviting this web site and going raw.

I am now 60 years old and I felt as if my body was working " against " me - I

thought I needed all the medications and painkillers for the aches and pains

and i felt old age was fast overtaking me - creak9ing and groaning etc.,

Now since raw - I realise that my body is always trying to mend itself -

before what I was putting into it wasn't helping that process - in fact I

was destroying me from the inside.

Now I have stopped " creaking " as much - 80% better on that score - happier

inside too and I feel " better " all round - knowing that what I am doing

physically is enhancing my spiritual well being too.

So as I read the information I am getting here and other sources I realise

that my body knows what it is doing - I am eating anything I fancy that is

raw and I have done the " fitday " food diary and find that automatically I am

always near the range of 80-10-10 that I have heard spoken of on these pages

I have started my dogs on raw food - I made up something very simple from

what I have read and they love it.

So I am a happier bunny these days - thanks

Love Lynne

Hi Lynne,

What is 80-10-10? I don't recall it being mentioned here.

Glad to hear you are a happy bunny. :-)

Hi Jan, and this is not Lynne...and thought I'd give the question a

shot.

The " 80-10-10 " refers to the caloronutrient percentages of foods that

you eat, with the 80% being carborhydrates, and then fat% and then

protein%. With the goal being to have a *maximum* of 10% of either

fat or protein.

both fitday.com and nutriday.com offer ways to track this online. I

prefer nutridiary; and I'd posted earlier about how when I first

checked it, the percentage was very high for fat (40-50%??!!), from

nuts/seeds.

Since using the tool, I've gotten it down to the 90/5/5 range, while

meeting caloric needs. I find it a useful tool.

The ratios have been mentioned a couple of times, and I think

Elchanan mentioned it in a post about his researcher friend, Laurie

Maters.

hope this helps.

regards,

Bob

I.m curious. How to keep protien and fat at ten. If I add nuts the fat goes way

up and the protien just a little. ty Lane
