Guest guest
Before I begin here I need to say that when I began eating raw food I did it because I wanted to feel better – I wanted to improve my health. I guess losing weight would fall into that category on some level. In any event, I measured myself this morning and could not believe my eyes – so I did it again, and again. and again, and again, and again, and again, and again. I’m still stunned at what I saw – that is, I have lost a total of 18 ½ inches since March 11. I put on a pair of slacks this morning that two weeks ago I could not get up over my hips! Luckily for me a friend has offered to give me all of the clothes she doesn’t wear any more so that I don’t have to wear clothes that are hanging off me! - Donna

Guest guest
Good for you Donna! It is always so validating when we actually " see " the results of something good that we do for ourselves. I think that's one of the reasons why people in general do focus so much on the visible, more tangible " weight " issue when making lifestyle changes. Sure, the weight number is just a number, but when it comes down to the actual shape of our bodies and body composition (what we see in the mirror, how our clothes fit, and the fact that it's the first thing people see when they look at us), it becomes great evidence to our progress, and inevitably affects our self-esteem and our health. We often times have higher priorities (than that number) for getting healthy but many of those changes take place on the inside, where they aren't really visible. I think what you've seen (and measured! ) now is really important as proof that you are continuing to do the right things for your body. Yay for you!
