Guest guest
I have been about 95% raw for the past 3 to 4 weeks and have been feeling great (more energy, better digestion, clearer skin, losing weight, etc.) However, the past few days I have been feeling a lot of cold/flu-like symptoms but not as aggresive (upper respiratory problems, coughing, sinusitis, sore throat, loss of appetite, etc.) I have been resisting the urge to medicate since medications usually make me feel out of it without reliveing symptoms. I have been using a neti pot, gargling with apple cider vineagar, resting, and taking some herbs from my acupuncturist. From what I've read, this may be my bodie's first " healing crisis " or " major cleansing. " From you veteran raw-foodist out there is this normal? I have been slowing getting better. My body doesn't want to eat, so I was just thinking of doing a fresh juice fast for the next day and half to move things along. Any advice would be great. Thanks. " From you > veteran raw-foodist out there is this normal? *yes, normal; as the body gets stronger, and is more able to " detox " , meaning to do a more thorough cleaning/cleansing, it will* I have been slowing getting better. My > body doesn't want to eat, so I was just thinking of doing a fresh juice fast for the next > day and half to move things along. *juice fast is not really a fast, it's a " feast " ; your body is indicating that it doesn't really want/need any more food/input at the moment, it needs rest, including physiological rest. maybe gets some sun, some fresh air, maybe some dry skin brushing, and rest..and then more rest...* Any advice would be great. > *good luck... all the best, Bob > Thanks. > > Kimberlie

At first I thought it was a regular cold but then my skin broke out which is rare for me so that's how I knew it was detox. Pretty classic symptoms actually. Sounds like you are on the right track by juicing it through. Light is definitely the way to go. swing
