Guest guest
Whew! Day three and detox is coming on. I can feel it, probably from all the coffee I used to drink. My eyelids are heavy and my neck and head ache, but not too bad. In the past when I have gone raw (and failed) I did tons of food combining with LOTS of pureed soaked nuts, and just mountains of raw food recipes. I never really detoxed hard-core, as far as I can tell besides headaches form caffeine. This time around however I am sticking to lots of fruits, and a big romaine salad with a few veggies added. (But I still eat about a handful of nuts...I have a thing for date rolls rolled in chrushed almonds. But I just eat two a day. And am almost out of them. I can never let a date go to waste.I will stop on my nut addiction as soon as they are eaten up.) I don't feel as hungry as when I have tried a %100 raw food diet in the past. I am probably taking in about 1000 calories...I don't know for sure...how many calories would an average size person need...is it even relevent? Today I haven't had much of an appetite...I am guessing because my body is busy detoxing. However I have had an amazing thirst. Every time I try to eat something..it is as if my body says " NO...Drink Water PLEASE " ! But i had always heard that " raw fooder " don't need much water besides what is available in the fruit. And how long should detox last anyway...I guess that depends on the individual huh? when does detox usually start for other people, does it start right away, or does your body need a period of adjustment? Just curious. I don't feel that desperate for an answer, I was wondering. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Thank you. N
Guest guest
Hi, About water: some rawfooders don't think it's necessary to drink water, some think we should drink a lot of water. I would just do what your body tells you to do. And why are you trying not to eat dates and nuts? swing
Guest guest
I am not trying to avaid dates and nuts, I am just trying to cut back on the nuts because I eat a lot of them and avocados in a day...which from what I understand, we don't need an excess of these foods, just a little bit in a day. Thank you for your comment. N > > And why are you trying not to eat dates and nuts? > > swing > >
