Well, another day raw. I passed the five month mark yesterday. My

weight's good, my demeanor and energy excellent. I'm still having

fun running around Philadelphia to different things. I just saw the

play Beauty and the Beast for kids, very entertaining. I'm trying

to relive my childhood and be born again, I hope it works. Well,

have a nice day everyone, I just wanted to check in a little bit.

Peace,

Rich

P.S. Eat your produce and other raw plant food, that's all I eat and

it's going great.

I sat through a vegan cooking class the other day. All that work

and heavy materials just to cook. What a waste of time, effort and

energy and downright silly. The food's fine as it is, raw.

I listened to a debate by animal activists the other day too. They

spent most of the time talking about using animals in scientific

experiments. I'm not much interested in that, I just want to eat my

raw plant food. I assume these other issues would be easier to

resolve if we all ate vegetarian.

That's very interesting Rich about you not bothering with all the

uncooking stuff. I am trying to learn some of these fixing because I'm

getting bored with just salad. Do you really just sit and eat one thing

at a time and not worry about putting anything together? Just curious.

I should have said congratulations to your sticking to raw food for five

months. I have only adhered to 80% raw for a month now. It hasn't been

easy with being hypoglycemic. Anyway that is a great accomplishment and

you must feel so much better than ever before.

Good for you, Froggy! It's always interesting to read about your

progress and roaming activities.

This one had me scratching my head, though: Why in the world would you

attend a vegan cooking class that you say is a waste of time, and

listen to a debate in which you had no interest?? Did you mention

anything about your raw food eating to these people?

Thanks swing. Unfortunately I miscounted though, it's four months.

The time has just flown by so well and I'm feeling so well adjusted

to my diet that I thought it was longer.

That's not bothering with all the cooking stuff, but I guess you mean

I don't bother with raw recipes either. Yeah, boredom can be a tough

one. We're so used to having excitement with our food. As far as

I'm concerned food is fuel so I can be about more interesting

things. I think it's meant to taste good, but I don't think it's

meant to fill any excitement needs. And raw plant food just as it is

tastes the best to me. Or maybe I just believe it tastes the best to

me because that's the way I want to eat.

I'm just getting used to the fact that I think the way I am supposed

to eat is just stick the raw plant food item in my mouth, as it is.

I tire of salad too, I eat a lot of bananas, grapes, dates, raw nuts

at night because I'm sick of the airier plant foods, lettuce, celery,

cucumber, broccoli, carrot, spinach, other fruits, tomatoes, etc.

that I eat during the day. I wouldn't call these items salad though,

there's enough to select from to keep it from being mere salad.

But yes, I just eat one thing at a time and I don't put anything

together. I eat as much of each separate item as I want at any given

meal.

Nothing really tastes all that great anyway is what I have come to

know. Why make a big deal out of recipes when the food is fine as it

is? The other animals in the forest just have a few things they like

to eat, I don't think man is meant to be much different. I do rely

on the avocado as something different and munch on quite a few raw

nuts. I do buy fruit salads, fruit's very tasty.

The only fear factor I have is there's not enough substance to eating

this way to keep my weight healthy but we'll see over time.

So welcome newbie, I notice this forum has a lot of people who call

themselves that. I hope I never do again.

Thanks April. I couldn't be less than 100% raw, I'd eat virtually

all cooked and non-vegetarian if I wasn't 100% raw. But if you can

maintain a percentage raw, that's good. My eating is too tied in

with my spirituality to maintain a percentage raw. But physical

ailments such as hypoglycemia make everyone's situation different.

I feel tremendously better on my raw plant food diet. I sleep less

and I have excellent energy. Physically I feel vibrant. I hope you

stick with it.

Thanks for reading, I do enjoy the support. I go to lots of

different things. I get something out of every event I attend. I

just go where I feel the tug strongest, I trust that as what I should

do next. I had never been to the location where the cooking class

was being held so I learned of a new Whole Foods to shop at if I need

it, plus I enjoyed my conversation with the vegan cooker. It was

interesting for me to see a cooking class once. It just settles in

my mind how stupid it is. All that grinding and mashing and the

heavy utensils, so much work for no purpose as I see it. I didn't

let on that I was raw though even to a vegan cousin, wouldn't want

them to think that they're doing anything wrong. I just turned down

the meal at the end. But it was good for me to go once, I wouldn't

go again. But, of course, I'm somewhat interested in what our

vegetarian cousins are doing, it can be an interesting social

outlet. I'll go to their potlucks or restaurant gatherings on

occasion and eat raw.

I didn't know what the debate would be about until I went. When I

hear animal rights, I think about not eating animals (a pretty good

right from the animal's viewpoint I would think). It turned out that

they mentioned vegetarianism in the beginning but then went on

talking about animal rights as far as scientists using them for

experiments, I left when I got too bored. But here too, I have an

interest in these sister affiliations like animal rights. I

certainly wouldn't rush back to hear more about it knowing what

animal activists basically do.

I don't mention my raw food eating to hardly anyone. No one would

get it, and I don't much feel like explaining it. Plus, I'd rather

be in a place where I'm not concerned about food at all. I don't

even want it to be an issue for me.

How old do you think I'll be when this world is ready to make meat

eating illegal?

Hi Gypsi,

Hang in there, persevere and before you know it you'll have been raw for

a long time too. One step at a time, one day at a time. This is the only

way any of us can get there. Your doing great.

Peace be with you, Gypsi.

Quite a milestone but I admire your will power and determination. Most

excellent.

My ears are damned by feigned praise. What does that expression mean

anyway. Anyway, thanks Gypsi, like Bartles said to Jaymes, thanks

for the support. I made another one full day today. Congratulations

on that more raw than anything else. And good luck with the working

toward of 100%. If I can be of any assistance, don't hesitate to

call.

I visited the Theosophists today, good talk about karma and

I believe there are people who can live off nothing but the sun. Not

my purpose in God's will however, I'm to demonstrate eating only raw,

plant food.

Quite a milestone AND... I effuse excellence from every pore of my

body. I'm also very humble. My power's good, my determination's

strong also. And to think I get that from eating only raw, plant

food. Who'd have guessed?

And also with you Don (for the Catholic/Christian churchgoers out

there). What's the Quai mean?

Did I mention I'm a believer in reincarnation AND a personal God. I

like to combine sound teaching.

Universal Law comes from a personal God.

Another experienced rawfoodist who likes to call themselves a

newbie. Not being too hard on yourself are you. Well, forget it,

you're going to suffer with this raw food diet every day for the rest

of your life like the rest of us. Like it or not.

But cereally folks, welcome Donna and I hope you get what you're

looking for on this forum. I was on here every day for my first 100

days raw, reading every post, commenting and taking in all the talk.

I've since graduated, I just breeze in now and then to say hello,

just like I like it. I hope I keep my overall life going this way,

I'm enjoying it.
