Guest guest
Hi Jeannie, In " Rainbow Green Live Food Cuisine " (my favorite book) Dr. Cousens writes that most raw fooders he tests are too alkaline, above 7.5. He recommends Kefir drinks. The Tree of Life makes a vegan kefir drink with nut milk or seed milk. The pH of kefir is acidic with a pH around 3. In my house we drink almond milk kefir drinks, and grape juice kefir drinks. They are so good! We also found that the best way to keep them alive is to rest them in raw dairy milk every other week. Raw organic apple cider vinegar may also help balance your pH-> http://www.living-foods.com/articles/vinegartruth.html " ...Apple Cider Vinegar is the #1 food I recommend for maintaining the body's vital acid-alkaline balance.... " Gabriel Cousens, M.D., Which raw food author's diet plan are you following? I think you need to eat a wider variety of foods. Eat a variety of nuts, seeds, berries (dried, frozen, or freeze-dried are okay), fruits, vegetables, leafy greens, sea vegetables (Marco-algaes such as Kelp, Purple Dulse, nori; And Micro-Algaes such as spirulina, chlorella, E3 Live, Cell Tech AFA algae, DHA Algae), cultured and fermented foods (sauerkraut, Miso) drink vegetable juice, Himalayan salt, nut milks, young coconut water, and fruit juices, ect... My point is there are much more foods you should be eating! Have fun and good luck! ~*~*~*~*~*~* Mike http://www.therawdiet.com " Transform Your Diet and Improve Your Health In Record Time with Proven, Time- Tested, Evolutionary Strategies.
