Guest guest
Hi everyone, While I first tried raw about 4 years ago, and first went 100% raw in Sept. of 2002, I've " fallen off the wagon " more than a few times. As of today I've been 100% raw for one full month! As I've mentioned in a previous post, I don't eat before mid-day, I have a couple of bananas for my first food of the day. After the bananas, when I want food again, I usually have something juicy (like citrus, or berries, etc.). Sometimes I have some dates after this, sometimes not. Between 3 and 4 in the afternoon, I have a green smoothie (with a whole head of romaine lettuce now!) and then I am usually satisfied for the rest of the day. The few times I'm hungry later, I have some grapes. As a side benefit, I weighed myself today and I've lost 21 lb. this month of raw. But, best of all really, I am feeling really great. I'm still also using lemon rinses on my hair, but I have decreased the frequency. I was doing daily, then every other day, now I only " wash " with water daily and use a lemon rinse once a week. My hair looks really nice and I'm pleased with it. Special thanks to Elchanan for his well researched information and help to me. I've read extensively myself and still, Elchanan was able to fill in some blanks for me that helped me succeed. As an emotional eater, I've often " fallen off " due to binge eating. So, I am taking it one day at a time and I'm very proud of my one month mark today! Carolyn

Guest guest
Congratulations Carolyn! It wasn't all that long ago that I was announcing my joy at reaching the 30 day mark! I have to ask you about the green smoothies you drink though - did you really say a head of romaine? Can you elaborate on the remaining ingredients, and other smoothies you drink? Thanks. Guest guest
Hi Donna, My smoothies right now usually consist of a couple of bananas, 3 or 4 oranges (depending on their size), a mango or a grapefruit, a head of romaine lettuce, and some strawberries (about 10). As the seasons change, I'll probably play with more variety. Carolyn rawfood , " Donna " <donnachagnon@n...> wrote: > Congratulations Carolyn! Guest guest
Carolyn, I too want to submit my Congratulations! to you for 30 days of pure 100% Raw... and on the weight loss. May I ask you a question regarding any detox symptoms during that time?? I would also be interested in the ingredients of your " GREEN " smoothies... Guest guest
lol! I had the same problem and thought it was only me!! i ended up peeling it and then kind of cutting/shaving of slices until I got to the core/pit. Not easy, but tastey.
