Lane, (who is still happy to be raw, but less happy with this forum) Kay here - I am sorry if I started the ball rolling; I have a particularly sensitive gut and wouldnt dream of eating kale and nuts with fruit. In fact I would only ever put two types of fruit in a blender at once period. When I replied as I did; I was making a light hearted joke, hence the I am sorry for what has happened. I agree: everyone is whereever they are....and somehow if someone has something constructive to offer me, that *might* lead me in an even better direction, or keep me from going down a " deadend " paty, I'd like to hear it... I saw that Kay already apologized..too cool, and very respectful, I thought...(course what do I know? I'm easy...lol!) and I might offer the same that Kay had said, the nuts and the fruits don't combine well at all...the fruits will have to stay in the stomach awaiting the nuts to try and be digested, and the nuts won't be digesting well because of the fruits....etc...etc..and the fruits will then begin to ferment, and I forget what happens to the nuts, but it probably isn't optimal. At least for me, since I;m putting " effort " into my food-combining, I'd like it to be as close to " optimal " as I can get it, and if folks have newer insights into what that might mean: BRING IT ON!!! lol! have a good one...keep posting! all the best, Bob
Guest guest
Thank you Kay and Bob too for your kind words. I feel cool if people here are further along on the combining continuum than I am, and it's fine to express your views. I just don't wanna be the butt of a joke while you do it. I post my experience with happiness, which I wanna share. I understand we are all in different places. I do not feel any negative affects with my smoothies, but would change them if I did. So I would like support here for where I am, which is really happy with being raw almost all the time, with nuts in my diet, not being 80/10/10 (although I'm intrigued of by it), and imperfectly combined. I used to get out bed maybe one day in three. I used to hurt all over and have terrible headaches. Since going raw, I don't have headaches any more and I feel well every day. For me this is a miracle. I hope others are able to have an experience as positive as this. For the record Kay, I was not as upset at your post, as at Elchanan's, using my post and yours, but addressed to you as if I wasn't there. Anyway, I'll stop now....Happy raw day, all, Lane - korangeli rawfood Saturday, April 30, 2005 9:43 AM [Raw Food] Re: Medjools & Toothpaste rawfood , " lane lynn " <lanie@p...> wrote: > Gee. Guest guest
Hi, Jennifer, I think all groups go through communication 'bumps' and my overall experience with this group has been one of openness and support. I would just give it a little time to sort some of this out. Part of the difficulty continues to be simply the limitations of the written word via email; it can be so hard to communicate tone, etc. Sometimes tone is really obvious! But everyone who has been part of this group has offerred valuable input, at least from what I have been able to see over the time I've been here, and while there are disagreements, and sometimes bad feelings, most of the time it has been able to be resolved; just takes some time and communication. So don't give up on us yet! Of all the groups I've been connected to so far, this has come close to being both the most open and the most helpful in sorting out ideas and information. Peace, Valerie Jennifer <simplify wrote: It feels like this group's focus in the last few weeks has gone from " raw friendly " to " natural hygiene raw.
