Thanks for your WHOLE post/reply, Bob I did go over and read Dr. D's info re bananas and yes..it makes perfect sense. And you're right about those nannas! I love the taste and their oh so easy . Thanks for the tip of eating the melons first, and the berries a bit later! Will do! Something that Dr. Doug alluded to in the FAQs made me curious to ask those of you who are long-time RFers. Does your BMs no longer smell????? It made me think back to when my daughter was a newborn and only had breastmilk for food - her poo did not smell either. But once she went on solid food.....yuuuuuuck : ) It makes sense that if you eat foods that take longer to digest, they will putrify in the intestines, but foods that move through quicker would not have time to do that. When I lived at a Raw Health institute I found visiting the toliet a delight! What I mean is - going in after someone had a BM was no problemo! Mangoes-papayas... nice smell. I think the real difference was spending some time at fasting center where all the staff had fasted and were eating 100% fruit diet. Everything about the body becomes real nice. I have HUGE hang-ups about this and I don't mind saying that I have met a number of Raw-Fooders who are rather put off by the idea of having sexual intercourse with " cooked-fooders " (for want of a better word) REALLY sorry if anyone feels offended. Don't worry - I know what its like to " smell " - i have had a long stint away from our paradise food myself! Interesting - I didnt think my brother's baby had very plesant smelling poo's; He and his wife are meat eaters - maybe the milk is more.... " animal " ?! Guest guest
Hi, Denise, Over the months, I've noticed various regular body odors disappearing; but there have been some days when things have been really bad, and my understanding is that that may be an indication of a 'cleansing day,' when your body is releasing some old toxins. But most days are fine; I no longer use shampoo or deodorant, and a gentle soap only once in a great while, when I feel like it may be needed. It didn't take long for the change in the BM to happen; I would say within a week. Guest guest
Well my BM was really smelly today and I've been raw for almost 8 months. Is that detox. All I ate yesterday was raw fruit, tender greens, some raw veg, and about 12 almonds. I'm curious as to why this would be. Thanks. Lane PS I still seem to be slowly but steadily losing weight, which leads me to believe my body is still cleaning out old stuff. - Valerie Mills Daly rawfood Thursday, May 12, 2005 12:56 PM Re: [Raw Food] (Was) What I ate today (Now) BM ?
