I can't say that I am noticing any regrowth, but my hair looks more full without looking dry and fluffy (the shampoo effect :-) ). It is softer, and something of a natural wave seems to be returning. I still use a small amount of hairspray, because my hair has become so fine, and being short, it won't stay in place. So, I'm looking for an alternative to that now. But I am a happy camper, for sure, and it's one less item on my shopping list now. Hello everyone, I wanted to come in on this too - I have continued simply using water on my hair and it is fine - great condition and easy to manage - I too am still using a little hair spray - cant seem to manage without that either unfortunately. We are also continuing with raw foods and enjoying it very much - the odd craving comes and most times it's and Indian meal we want but most of the time we are both raw and feeling good on it - although today I awoke with pain in my sciatic nerve which I havent had since I was pregnant many, many years ago. Question ; Do pain killers suppress the healing of something like sciatic pain - I haven't taken anything but the pain is quite severe - I could do with some feedback on this? Guest guest
---snip---- Hi Lynne! > Question ; Do pain killers suppress the healing of something like sciatic > pain - yes, indirectly - they cause the body to stop what it was doing, and concentrate upon the newest " poison " that we've thrown at it... in this case, it'd be pain killers.. I haven't taken anything but the pain is quite severe - I could do > with some feedback on this? sciatic can also be " muscle-related " (says a prev. licensed Massage Therapist..lol..! ) seriously...there's a muscle in the buttocks called the piriformis (sp?), and the sciatic nerve runs right through it...I've had good luck previously helped this muslce relax so that it doesn't " pinch " the nerve.... suggest: rest, sunshine, lots of water, and try stretching out your buttocks muscles, or maybe have someone help you loosen them. all the best, Bob > > Love Lynne > > > >
Guest guest
now what I am about to say goes along with what bob said.. and sounds.. ummm unrelated but isn't.. really... If you have someone that can give you a massage... have them stress those bottom muscles... even for lower back pains due to ladies menses... I had a boyfriend once and we gave each other massages often.. and I found for him-- he had alot of lower back pains... I would massage bottoms of the feet well...then up the back of the leg.. and onto the bottom (butt) muscle..then up the spine..( inexperienced ones do this cautiously please). we seem to forget this part of the muscle and why I don't know.. maybe because we are embarrassed of where it is... a good deep massage in this area and then up the spine then across the backs of the arms works wonders.. I am by no means and never have been an expert in this area.. all I know is that this was one thing that I thuroughly enjoyed giving and receiving due to the fact it relieved so much pressure, tension, and relaxed this muscle. menses back pain for me were nill and void after such an encounter. and for him .. his back pain was gone.. not to return for many weeks later..I suppose due to stress..etc.. So if there is a problem I suggest trying the massage of this area and see how it helps.. would love feedback also if you try it... Guest guest
Valerie, My chiropractor, who is very supportive of my raw food diet, and who is my primary health practitioner. (in my eyes, not the eyes of my insurance company) Anyway he said I needed to take something for the pain. I can't remember which nerve but it went up my shoulder and back of neck. He said I needed to do it to stop the cycle of pain setting off other stuff and back. I can't remember the details . but i did take it and it worked and now I am off the pills. It took a short time. Until I finally caved and took the pills I was in a lot of pain, and it was making me sick. I don't know what others here would say, but we have conditions that we come to this lifestyle with, in my case the culprit was a broken arm. By the way, I tried washing my hair with lemon and it didn't feel as clean as with shampoo. Has anyone else had this experience?
