[Raw Food] Re:(Now) BM ?

while we are on the subject of BMs.. Can I ask a really weir question...

does there come a time when you do not go so often?? Seems I am in the

restroom more then out and the BMs are the reason.. does this mean my body

is cleaning out more and more backed up stuff?? when does it end.. I can see

having one or two a day but.. well sometimes it is just too many ..

_____

Hi Debbie,

Smokey Santillo, a RF teacher and author for several decades now, tells of

the day he changed from a total, traditional Italian diet to fruits. If I

remember his story correctly, we moved his bowels 14 times that first day,

which was apparently inconvenient, as he also went on a first date that day.

And then there are reports from autopsies, such as the autopsy of John

Wayne, where examiners find tens of pounds of fecal matter stored/stuck in

the gut. (45 pounds, in John's case, apparently)

So I encourage you to trust your system, have faith that " this, too, shall

pass. " (sorry, couldn't resist). Remember also that your system is

relearning how to digest properly. Your flora may be depleted, there may be

a brief time during which a candida infestation settles down (assuming you

have cut the fat way down), and other circumstances too numerous to mention

may also be involved.

Here are some things for you to observe and notice, share for further input

if you wish:

- Are all these movements creating an irritation or a burning sensation (or

both) in the rectum? Do you have any sense of hemorrhoids or the like?

- What are the texture (well-formed, loose, runny, etc.), coloration, odor

of the movements? Are these changing as the hours and days pass?

- How long is this going on? Did you make some change in your diet or

lifestyle -- fats, liquids, smoothies into solids, etc., or changes in

sleep, exercise, stress, relationships, work, etc. shortly before this all

began? Or does it just seem to coincide with " going raw " ?

- When you are urinating, do you experience any burning sensation?

Share more, receive more, if you wish. Best,

Elchanan

*******irritation or burning sensation?? no.no pain or anything. but did have a

hemorroid once.. or what is it called a fissure? where the sensative area was

scratched due to rough toilet paper or something.and can get swollen.. ..

possible... but nothing other then that...or serious.

******** wel on the days I eat all raw... I would say they are fair in form..

depends weather I eat fruits or veggies or drink in juices.. if juicing then

will be on runny side...yes.. the changes deal with what I have eaten.. and if I

happen to eat something cooked or like bread... I may have to wait a day..

***** Changes are probably due to my eating habits... nothing drastic... but did

notice the more fruits and juices I eat/drink I am having more BMs guess I want

those.. wet wipes from now on... to feel cleaner...

- When you are urinating, do you experience any burning sensation?

****** no nothing at all.. have had a urinary track infection before and no

nothing regarding this area... all the problems are due to what I am eating...

guess testing myself here.. I also notice if I eat or juice beets.. I have to

prepare myself that I am not bleeding when I have a BM.... almost paniced

once..lol then remembered I had beet juice that afternoon.. Whew!!

I have not bee really consistant... but I am sure when I do get 100% raw things

will be better....just wanted to prepare... Thanks E for the input...

Transitioning: bowel movements

Hi again Debbie,

Just a quick recap of your responses to my earlier questions:

1. No burning or other pain with bowel movements.

2. Texture and rhythm/timing vary with what you eat. Cooked foods slow you

down, i.e., cause some constipation, which is congestion in the colon. Whole

fruits and veggies work best, juices work but produce runny output. Bowel

movements increase with fruits/veggies, decrease with cooked foods, all

quite predictably. That is, you can clearly correlate variations in bowel

output with variations in food input.

Based upon this input, working from a distance, I have the following

observations and suggestion.

OBSERVATIONS

1. You appear to following a form of binge-and-purge pattern in your eating,

with predictable matching results in output.

2. I do not attribute increased output on fruits and veggies to any general

systemic cleansing of your digestive system or otherwise. Rather, I

attribute these variations in output, consistency, etc. to changes in your

current eating patterns. Therefore, one might reasonably expect this output

pattern to continue for as long as your present eating patterns continue.

There is no " end in sight. "

SUGGESTION

I wonder whether you would be willing to try eating a monodiet for three

days? A monodiet means one food for all meals eaten during the three days.

(Differs from a monomeal, one food at a given meal.)

- If you have access yet to organic watermelon, then eat only that for three

days.

- Otherwise, eat only ripe (showing some brown spots) organic bananas for

three days.

If you are willing to try this, I think you will be amazed and delighted

with the results you achieve. (Of course, this is available to everyone, not

just Debbie :):)

Best to all,

Elchanan
