Guest guest
Dear Friends, There is so much news I don't know where begin! First, if you get a chance to read *Doug's Walsh's journal while he is hiking the 3,000-mile Continental Divide* on raw food, you really owe it to yourself to do so. It is fascinating, inspiring and enlightening! This is real time -- not a book written after the fact. Every couple of days, a new entry is posted so we can follow his adventures -- and they are abundant. They are also filled with the kind of wisdom that is gained from an amazing adventure in the wilderness on a raw-food diet. Go to rawhike.com<http://rawhike.com/>and click on Doug's journals. (But don't do it until you read the rest of the news!) We are very excited that *our new 5,000 ft. Living Light Center is opening it's doors to the first group of students* this Friday! People are coming to our beautiful northern California coastal town from Japan, Thailand, Europe, South America and all over the North America to attend our inaugural culinary training! This training will be especially wonderful because of our new state-of-the-art raw culinary center. This *August 18-21 we are having our official Grand Opening Celebration!*Many of our friends and former graduates will be here. We would love to count you among them! The Boutenkos, Nomi Shannon, Dr. Doug Graham and his wife Roz Grueben (with their new baby), Paul Nison, Victoria Jayne, Ed Leach, Elaina Love, Matt Samuelson, our entire Living Light team, including Alicia Ojeda, Kristin Suratt, Dan Ladermann and myself, Cherie Soria. Lots of other raw " movers and shakers " are coming on board now that the date has been finalized! *We plan an outstanding program of speakers, culinary classes, wellness presentations, activities, fitness and dance classes, a big party, music, and great food (naturally)! *We can't wait to show-off what we have created for the raw community! We are very proud and happy to share it with you and hope that you will make it a priority to come out and celebrate with us. *To add a little extra incentive, Rawstock follows the Grand Opening of the new Living Light Center the following week-end* and is only a 2-hour drive away. There are lots of things to do on the northern California coast in August and we are planning some extra activities for you if you want to stay and participate in both events. We hope you will join us for the fun, the community, the food, and the love!! (Oh, did I mention education?) There will be plenty of that -- with speakers, classes and information tables so you can meet all our presenters up close and personal. (Do I need to mention the food and the incredible culinary genius of the Living Light Team that you will be able to sample while you are here? Well, you know our reputation -- we have taught many of the worlds finest raw chefs, so I don't need to tell you more about that!) *Yes there are great accommodations here -- both beachfront and wilderness camping; great B & B's and hotels* within walking distance of the new Living Light Center. The drive here from anywhere is beautiful -- through wine country and redwood forests to an amazingly beautiful stretch of Mendocino coastline -- breathtaking beauty. How lucky we are to live here and how happy we are to share it with you. *We will be sending out a bulletin in the next week about the details, but go ahead and mark it on your calendar.* We are having a Grand Opening Celebration and you are invited! Let's celebrate how far the raw community has come -- far enough to produce this amazing center. Have a delicious day! Cherie Living Light...
