We got some lovely local apples from the farmer's market in town last Saturday - fantastic! I love buying local produce (not having an apple tree in our condo LOL) because it's seems to taste so much better, unless it's my imagination, than stuff that's been trucked in from dog knows where! Enjoy yours - true luxury! pat
Guest guest
Apples...an easy snack. Going to the savory side you can make a nice apple chutney and use it in sandwiches etc ... grilled pineapple with grilled apples on a BBQ stick tastes yummy... and so much for being healthy... you can dip it in chocolate sauce and yum a desert menu... shubha , > > " veggiehound " > > <ve ggiehound> wrote: > > > > > Think, your average apple (is there such a thing? > > > around 2-3/4 inches) has only about 80 calories > > and is full of all > > sorts of good things, > > > quite apart from the tremendous texture, > > crispness, juiciness, > > flavour <drooling - not a > > > pretty sight!> > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Kathleen M. I love it and haven't had it for years - keep forgetting about it! Would be much appreciated. Best, Pat
Guest guest
Good morning, I've been knocked out the past few days feeling weak with a sore throat, fatigue and mild fever. I've been mostly raw for about 6 years and this has never happened during that time. Before it happened I had been eating some unsprayed homegrown apples that appeared to have a fungus on them. Has anyone heard or experienced these kinds of symptoms from apples before? The rest of my family is SAD and has strep going around, so I'll probably get tested for that. Thank you, Nick Hein Morgantown, WV
Guest guest
Just curious, Nick – Why get tested for strep? If you test positive will you do something different than if you test negative? Hope you feel better soon.
