Onya Shopping Bags

Here is a neat shopping bag I just read about on the web - it's made

of parachute fabric, weighs 1.8 oz, and scrunches down into a little

tote bag which can be carried on a key ring. That way you never have

to be out of a grocery bag when you go to the store. : ) It comes in

several colors and costs $11.00.

Hmmm, that's interesting. The Onya bags were apparently started by

Jon Brousson in Australia, according to their HQ website (see

http://www.onyabags.com.au/onya-story.php)

.. It doesn't say what year he came up with the idea, though. Did you

notice if the founder with whom you spoke had an Australian accent?

Maybe they both came up with the same idea. The ChicoBag is made of

nylon, though, while the Onyas are made of some unspecified parachute

material, maybe they're nylon also.
