Guest guest
I should clarify that my intent was not to slam all the other speakers at the Raw Spirit Festival. Most of them I know nothing about beyond the brief bio that appears on the www.rawspiritfest.com website. It would actually probably be a fun event to go to, even though the Natural Hygiene point of view seems very underrepresented. I just wrote them and suggested that they invite Seattle's own Nora Lenz. But I just read on his forum the other day that he is now going to speak there, thanks to so many people writing the promoter asking that he be invited. Certainly his 28 or so years as a raw fooder and his accomplishments far exceed most of the others who are speaking at that festival. What about his attitude turned you off? He did say one thing in that lecture that turned me off, but having heard him speak many other times and read his books, I give him a pass on it. Nobody is perfect. But he is head and shoulders above most raw food educators, most of whom have not been raw very long (and many of whom are not all raw even now) and most of whom sell supplements, which to me is an admission that the diet they are promoting is not adequate. Take a look at the Raw Spirit Festival website to see all the supplement sellers. And then there is the guy who says sungazing will take away your need to eat food (but who has been caught eating in restaurants) and other assorted characters. I believe the sungazer is one of the “keynote speakers.” Mark Checked by AVG. It would be a shame if he was excluded only because so many people disagree with him. Cheers, Daniel
Guest guest
Mark, Good for you to write and suggest that Nora be included. I participate on different Raw net Forums as well as blogs, and her name is always coming up as a reputable, reliable, source of Natural Hygeine information. Peace, Monica J.
