Guest guest
Nick, I suggest that you begin learning about permaculture. You can go SO far beyond any list that looks like what is below, so far beyond biodynamic and such, you can literally recreate your ecosystem. One great resource is http://www.edibleforestgardens.com/. Don't let the name misdirect you, it's about creating a food forest on a home-sized scale. Shari, I thought this was a really good question, and it inspired me to ask about how to be most ideal in other things. Starting with gardening, assuming that things like air quality can't be controlled - except maybe by choosing location, what would be the most ideal way to grow a pure garden? Organic, heirloom seeds. Rainwater Free range compost Others? Suggestions? Nick Hein Morgantown, WV (WA expatriate)
Guest guest
Great site, Elchanan - thanks for posting this. By the way, I found this site on foraging ( " rewilding, edible wild food, and permaculture " ) which is pretty cool for anyone exploring edibles out in actual forests and such. He posts videos about where he's actually found edible plants/fruits/nuts and talks about them. Scroll down to the 2nd post on this page (of May 10) to read about his adventure in creating his own feral garden: http://feralkevin.com/blog/ Blanc On May 15, 2008, at 9:36 PM, Elchanan wrote: > Nick, > > I suggest that you begin learning about permaculture.
