Good morning,

I'm kind of excited that our local newspaper has asked to interview me about the

raw food diet. I'll be having the reporter over for lunch on Friday. Does

anyone have serving suggestions? I'm a bit of a hack at this all and I could

use some advice on how to make a good impression.

It's especially exciting that I've got a chance to share the joys of healthy

eating in WV, a place that leads the country in so many unhealthy ways.

Thank you.

Hi Nick!

I suggest a yummy, nutrient packed green smoothie. Easy for anyone to make, all

raw, nutrient dense, and yummy!!! Good luck.

Peace on earth.

Cheryl

Congratulations, Nick!! What a wonderful opportunity!!

Perhaps this would work:

1. Create a very nice, simple fruit salad. Serve this, chat awhile, let it

digest.

2. Serve a very nice, simple green salad. Use sweet, tender greens, and

instead of dressing, add cut-up fruit(s) to the salad. For example, add bits

of strawberry and/or tangerine, or apple, or whatever.

Enjoy!

Well, while the green smoothie sounds good to you and me I'm afraid it would not

go over very well. It took me almost a year to drink one just because I could

not fathom putting fruit and greens together.

Personally, I do a dessert type dish to introduce people to raw. I have a great

raw apple pie that everyone loves.

You have to try and remember back to when you were first starting out and how

insane people thought you were (at least my friends and family).

I was given the opportunity to be interviewed by the local PBS station and I

took Pesto Pasta, Veggie Mac Cheese with vegetable crackers and the apple pie.

It seemed to go over quite well, but who knows what was said after I left!
