Guest guest
Shari, General Mills has been buying its way into the organic foods business for years now. This is nothing new. Remember when they bought Cascadian a number of years ago? That was a big one, too. Guest guest
That's a shame. I never really purchased Larabars because I was never really sure that they used organic ingredients or not. I recall that they were not, plus the waste of packaging wasn't very attractive to me either. However, I made my own version of a larabar in my food processor with dates, walnuts, cranberries and flax. Here's the recipe, 50 dates 2 cup walnuts or almonds (or a combination) 1 cup cranberries 1/2 cup flax 2 scoops (65g) berry Vega (optional) On a large cookie sheet, combine in food processor and roll flat on cookie sheet. refridgerate for 24 hours and the flip over and refridgerate for another 24 hours. cut into servings and then wrap in wax paper. Makes about 24 bars. cheers g
Guest guest
Looks good Garry. Do you use fresh cranberries, frozen, or dried? Shari
