Guest guest
Hello All, I just recently had wrist surgery after falling on my wrist while skating. Can you tell me what raw foods to concentrate on for proper healing? And any ideas for natural pain relief? the pain van get pretty intense, especially at night, and I hate taking conventional pain killers. Thanks so much for any light you can shed on this topic. Guest guest
Boron is supposed to be good for mending broken bones, so look for foods high in this mineral (apples is one). Also MSM (taken with Vit C also) is supposed to be helpful for the pain of inflammation, as well as increasing overall circulation, which would help your bones to heal. Do an internet search on " bone fractures nutrition " and you should come up with all sorts of info on which foods are good for healing bones. Guest guest
Hi Jenny, This webpage might be helpful to you. It lists foods and nutrients that are beneficial to bones - a couple of them specifically mention healing broken bones. Horsetail tea and Silicon specifically. If you click on Silicon, you can find some foods that are high in that nutrient. http://www.foodscout.org/benefits/bones.html Diana , " jenmccrary " <jenmccrary wrote: > I just recently had wrist surgery after falling on my wrist while skating. Guest guest
While an extended water fast may be of benefit, it may not be convenient, but something to consider. A reminder - sesame seeds (with skin) are loaded with calcium. Making fresh sesame milk with a good blender may help. Fresh greens are a winner. You can even juice wild horsetail (for the silica, as Diana mentioned), as well as other wild greens. Be sure to get a good dose of sunlight on your body to boost your vitamin D. Consider spending time in the sun every day. Expose as much skin as possible. Work breaks may only mean the face and arms (maybe legs), but other times go for more. Without the vitamin D production, your bone repair won't be optimal.
