Guest guest
Jeff, you haven't mentioned this: This month's Eastside " 425 Magazine " features eating raw, with references to this mailing list, Monika's new restaurant, Tom & Susan Armstrong, and Adam Lewis - who is also featured in a photo. It is at the newstands, but the story is not on their website, so I can't post a link to the article, only to the magazine itself, where you can see a picture of the front cover ( " Raw Food, a Fresh Trend " ) http://425magazine.com/index.php Blanc
Guest guest
Thanks for the tip. I'll watch for the magazine. Guest guest
I live in Florida and would love to see the article if someone would like to scan it. Thanks! Guest guest
The only thing about the magazine is that they left out the Eastside's premiere expert on Raw Food: Nora Lenz creator and owner of Raw School. I am writing a letter to the editor, as an eastsider and puget sound resident, I really appreciate her. She is a tremendous source of knowledge as well as great, organic produce, straight from the source. --Monica Jakka
Guest guest
Monica, While I sympathize with your sense of frustration and disappointment, I'm not surprised. These days, and for several years now, those who follow some sort of hygienic approach are almost routinely excluded from such things. Guest guest
Hi Monica, Thanks so much for your generous and kind comments. It's nice to know my efforts have been helpful. I don't think it's a sign of some malevolent conspiracy that I wasn't included in the article. The people who teach food prep classes get a lot more press typically than those who teach the principles of health (ho hum). Plus I'm afraid my site is overdue for a little search engine optimization! One of the projects I'm hoping to work on this winter... Thanks again, Nora > > The only thing about the magazine is that they left out the Eastside's > premiere expert on Raw Food: Nora Lenz creator and owner of Raw School. Guest guest
Nora, I agree there was no malicious conspiracy. But, I just thought someone might have mentinoed you since you do so much for the teaching of Natural Hygeine and for the acquisition and sharing of straight from the grower, organic produce. You have a fan here! --Monica
