Guest guest
I'm glad someone took advantage of this offer! It's amazing all the fruit from local neighborhoods that can just end up in the compost bins. A couple of weeks ago three of us completely cleared out a tree in Renton; took us only two hours to collect 200 lbs of ripe naturally grown Italian plums. Last week I harvested a small bags of tasty apples from what was left on a tree in Ballard that now that I've made the connection, I may be able to harvest fully next year. I hope others will post any free fruit or produce offerings they know about on this group ... I'd especially like to know about any in my northern neck of the woods ... Lynnwood. Let's spread the word that there's responsible raw foodists that will glean excess produce from our neighborhoods. Maybe we could organize a few work parties?
