This ad was posted around 5:30 today in the free section of

craigslist. I'm all plumed out but thought someone here might be

interested in checking it out. But you'd better act quickly.

We have a few plumb trees loaded with plumbs. Ladders provided, you

pick and take as many as you want. They are delicious.

mary thanks for the heads up on the plums....my 94 yr old mom in law makes what

she lovingly calls " bowel blaster " from plums and a couple of other

ingredients.....plums are the main ingredient....and our trees were pretty

barren this year....this morning I went to these two prolific plum trees and am

now helping create enough " bowel blaster " for my M-I-L's winter supply

blessings premanandakumar / silver eagle

I'm glad someone took advantage of this offer! It's amazing all the

fruit from local neighborhoods that can just end up in the compost

bins. A couple of weeks ago three of us completely cleared out a tree

in Renton; took us only two hours to collect 200 lbs of ripe

naturally grown Italian plums. Last week I harvested a small

bags of tasty apples from what was left on a tree in Ballard that now

that I've made the connection, I may be able to harvest fully next

year. I hope others will post any free fruit or produce offerings

they know about on this group ... I'd especially like to know about

any in my northern neck of the woods ... Lynnwood. Let's spread the

word that there's responsible raw foodists that will glean excess

produce from our neighborhoods. Maybe we could organize a few work

parties?
