Guest guest
There are formal tests & informal personal ways of telling which I don't want to gross anybody out with the details. Are you on anti-coagulants? On Behalf Of Vanessa Stewart Monday, November 10, 2008 7:18 PM Re: Fwd: Question/Response Thanks Jim, Can you clarify how you know how much greens are OK? Guest guest
No I'm not, but I have helped friends and family recovering from knee surgeries and they are often on blood thinners for a while. It has always been my thinking and doing to give them salads and smoothies and healthy fair to eat on those first days/weeks of recovery. I was SHOCKED to think I might have killed them! I would never have thought or even believed it to be true, but just an excuse to not want to eat healthy! My brother is having some knee surgery on Friday & a friend is having a hip replacement next March. He has asked me to come stay thru the first few weeks of his recovery & make healthy foods for him. I want to make SURE not to do anything wrong!! Any info and advice on that would be most appreciated and helpful! Thanks so much, Vanessa On Nov 10, 2008, at 7:27 PM, <health wrote: > There are formal tests & informal personal ways of telling which I > don't > want to gross anybody out with the details. Guest guest
Vanessa, Just to reassure you, it is quite possible to be optimally healthy without consuming greens. Since going raw I have gone through many months-long periods of not eating anything green. Currently I eat a diet very low in greens. I eat none of the dense greens like kale & collards, and haven't for about 6 years. My health just continues to improve. I've written about this on my and have an essay about it that I can send you privately if you're interested. It mainly focuses on refuting the idea that greens are perfect foods for humans. Imo, you could nurse your loved ones back to health quite easily without feeding them greens. Best wishes, Nora > My brother is having some knee surgery on Friday & a friend is having > a hip replacement next March. > He has asked me to come stay thru the first few weeks of his recovery > & make healthy foods for him. Guest guest
This does interest me since my husband seems to think that dark greens (esp cooked) are out to kill him. - Nora Lenz Tuesday, November 11, 2008 8:25 AM Re: Fwd: Question/Response #2 Vanessa, Just to reassure you, it is quite possible to be optimally healthy without consuming greens.
