Dangers of Blood Thinners

I attended the lecture at Bastyr a few months ago with Tonya Zavasta which was

very educational. She showed us pictures of " normal " blood cells (normal being

from the average cooked food eater) and they were stringy or " sticky " as she

called them as they were stuck together in strands. Then she showed us a picture

of healthy, plump, round individual blood cells from someone who eats a raw

diet. She has had several hip surgeries and refused the blood thinner that is

standardly given in the hospital and only pretended to take the aspirin they

gave her as with aspirin, they don't have to watch you take it. She just had a

strong feeling that it would not be good to take anything. After extensive

researching later on, she said she was so glad she refused the medications as it

could have killed her as her blood was not " normal " (sticky like most people's).

She made some great points like how research and testing is done on the average

cooked foodists, not

those who eat raw. I don't have her book with me to better quote her but it's

all noted in her first book, Your Right to be Beautiful, The Miracle of Raw

Foods. Basically, if one has been eating raw for any length of time, the blood

cells are plump, individual and truly healthy and giving a person a blood

thinner can be very dangerous because the blood is already " thin " compared to

those who eat cooked foods.

I highly recommend her books and DVD lecture. Very eye opening. Her website is:
