Hi All,

I am brand new to raw food - just really researching it right now. I was

wondering - does it really have the profound effect on a person's appearance

as it seems to? Did you all notice a big change in your face in terms of

aging when you switched over?

Thanks!

When I first started on the Raw diet, one of the first confirmations of its

benefits, besides the weight loss, was that others noticed my skin texture. It

was different. It was, for lack of a better description, more youthful. There

was a kind of glow. I even began to notice a difference but it took a while

before I realized what it was. My skin color began to become more even as well

as the texture and it still continues to improve even now several years later.

Julie,

I can see a big difference in my skin. I was looking at pictures of my mom when

she was younger and she looked older in her early 40's than I do now at almost

57. With raw foods, you are nourishing and hydrating your body and your skin

from the inside out, not just slapping cosmetics on the outside.

Check out books by Tanya Zavasta and also her website:  www.beautifulonraw.com.

I've heard her speak and she is really amazing and very funny. She looks as good

in person as in her pictures and she is in her 50's.

Hi Julie,

I just ran across your and the answer for me was a huge Yes! Not only

did I notice a huge difference in my completion, but also in my hair.

I have thin, fine hair that had always felt rough (for lack of a

better word), but once I began raw it became extremely soft and

flowing. And it had body which it had never had before.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Hello,

I am not sure anyone responded to this, but yes, I saw a difference in my face.

Most especially after I did a 9 week liver cleanse.  The health of the liver

affects the health of the skin.  Not only did my skin get tighter, it was softer

than EVER before.  Even my son, who was about 9 or 10 at the time touched my arm

and said, " Wow mommy, your skin is soft! "

I have seen it in other raw food people, too.

Best,

lala

** Hello - this ended up in my junk mail, otherwise I would have answered

earlier.

I did the Arise and Shine 9 week Liver Cleanse.  It's very important to do some

sort of an intestinal cleanse first, because you need to make sure the gunk from

your liver has a clear evacuation route.  It's really nasty stuff.  If you

choose to do the Arise and Shine liver cleanse then you should purchase the

little pamphlet they have to go along with it.  I think it's like $3, so not a

big purchase.  Also, there should be a break of a month or so between cleanses.

The liver cleanse is pretty intense, not only does it have alot of toxins if

you've eaten SAD all your life, but it also is the organ connected to Anger.  If

you continue on a raw food diet, your body and all organs will detox eventually,

so it's not necessary to go on a cleanse.  It's definately a personal choice.

at this time. I just returned from an scientific aromatherapy conf.

where someone mentioned the " Arise and Shine " to me, which I knew of

many years ago, when I mentioned that I was going to become a more

attune to my raw food diet, and begin to learn som new recipes, as well.

I didn't really feel the draw to this product, in that I do feel that

when I was very strict with my raw foodness, I was able to cleanse very

deeply.

Thanks for the post!
