Guest guest
I have tried to cook them a few times. They don't taste good. Don't spoil your soup, saute a few first and see what you think. I sdidnt care for them raw in my salad either. Donna Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry glpveg4life Sat, 10 Jan 2009 12:44:31 ; CARROT TOPS I bought carrots with the greens still on them can I eat them? I was thinking of adding them to my roasted vegetable soup. Or can they be eaten raw, maybe I will add them to my salad. Gayle **************New year...new news. Guest guest
Gayle, I add them to soup all of time. You can use them in salads, but I don't usually, because I find them a little 'strong' for my tastes. ¸.·´ .·´¨¨)) ((¸¸.·´ .·´ -:¦:- Terri -:¦:- ((¸¸.·´ Genesis 2:15 The Lord God then took the man and settled him in the garden of Eden, to cultivate and care for it. Guest guest
I grew up on greens and I have found carrot tops to be extremely unpleasant in taste, raw or cooked. I did wreck soup with them, not one person in my family would eat it and it was my same old recipe except I added carrot tops, they are strong and bitter. Guest guest
Hi all, I bought a bunch of carrots with tops at the store this evening. I was planning on popping some in my smoothie tomorrow, maybe a little in my salad tonight. I was wondering if you can eat too many at once, do they have any strange effects I'm not aware of? Guest guest
I've always used carrot tops and haven't noticed anything strange.
