Guest guest
Ron, I read it yesterday and found it informative. Recognized many of the names mentioned. In my opinion, it was more than past time for PCC to write this article. Perhaps it will lead more PCC folks to raw foods! Guest guest
I saw the PCC article on Saturday. Was waiting for somebody to post it! FYI, I suggest going to your local PCC and picking up a bunch issues that you pass out to people. Do anybody know who Cameron Woodworth is?!? Guest guest
Cameron was one of the original members of Seattle EarthSave. ES was a group of vegetarians who, originally, got together after reading " Diet for a New America " by John Robbins. He, like a lot of us, have evolved. I'm not sure if he's raw, but I have seen him enjoying himself at Chaco Canyon on more than one occasion. EarthSave used to sponsor some great veg symposiums. My kids were the tomato and banana one year! They walked around Seattle Center to advertise the event. They were pre-high school, if I remember correctly. At one of these presentations we met Doug Graham and he sat with our son for a very lengthy discussion about being a raw athlete. Our son was a cross country runner at the time and the coach he admired the most made a statement to the effect " I wouldn't give any vegetarian a scholarship " . Dr. D made our son feel so much better about being vegetarian that he actually rode the Seattle to Portland bike ride for his graduation present to himself. He was powered by bananas and coconut water. He did the 210 miles in one day! Well, there you have it. Now you know way more than you asked and most of it wasn't even about Cameron! I Cam has been doing a whole lot more than just writing for PCC, but I know not what. Shari
