Guest guest
It sure sounds like you walked into the right store at the right time, to get this special deal. I think all of our plums here, have the yellowish insides, though they often look like the ones in the picture on the link below, on the outside skin. Enjoy your plums. They sound beautiful. Guest guest
I have been enjoying the organic fruit at PCC this year. However, this week Safeway has " conventional " red cherries at $0.97/lb. and I need to save money and so bought some. They do have a good flavor to them. The apricots that they are selling in the one pound plastic containers are also good if you let them ripen up a little before eating them. It is nice that you can get fruit from a regular store that has some good flavor to it. Ron
Guest guest
It's such a shame that organic cherries are so expensive. I avoid conventional ones, though, because the Environmental Working Group lists conventionally grown cherries as one of the 12 most polluted fruits or vegs (Dirty Dozen http://www.foodnews.org/methodology.php) because they contain so many pesticides.
