Spring Cleanse starts tomorrow

Tomorrow I am starting a spring cleanse combinging the best of the lemon diet or

Master Cleanse with an all juice diet. Although I have done this in the past for

45 days straight I have no plans for how long this will go.

The body cannot cleanse and digest at the same time. When solid food is stopped

the body goes into auto cleansing mode. The beauty of an all juice diet based on

green juices is that the body goes into cleansing mode but has an abundance of

energy from the juices to heal, rejunvenate and power your normal lifestyle.

There is story in Tom Wolshyn's book of a guy who trained for a triathlon on

just the lemon cleanse.

I use psylium, bentonite and cleansing herbs along with the juices.

For those in the Seattle area there are 3 people on Vancouver Island who can

assist you in a cleanse if you desire. They are Dana Lynn, Tamara Olson, and Tom

Woloshyn.

I will have periodic updates as the cleanse progresses.

I'm starting basically the same cleanse! Although I wasn't sure about the

bentonite and psyllium shakes, as I was worried that my body would try and

digest it and slow down the cleansing process.

 

Good luck with yours! I'm looking to detox and release some of this toxic,

unhealthy fat.

I was planning on a minimum of 30 days.

The psyllium and bentonite speed the cleanse up. Bentonite pulls accumaltions

off of the intestinal walls and psyllium pushes it all out. The body does not

try to digest either of them. Chances are I will go at least 30 days too.

 

Best to your cleans too and any others doing the same.

I've used different herbs over the years. Arise  & Shine, Dr Richard Shculze, 

Enzymes from hypocrates, and right now Dr Steinbergs whole body cleanse,

 

No blended smoothies on this cleanse just juice. No solid food. Blended food is

solid food.

 

The greens are wheat grass, sprouts, kale,spinach, romaine lettuce, parsely,

celery,  added to beets, cumcumber, carrots and apple.

Is there a simple " recipe " for doing a juice fast, or are there lots

of variables that one has to take into account in determining what

things to put in the juice?

 

I'm interested in doing a juice fast, but I don't have a lot of time

to do a bunch of research on it.

There's no simple recipe and on the other hand not a lot of variables either.

Try to make your juices half greens and or sprouts. Be easy with beets and

wheatgrass juice. Use psyllium at minumum to keep cleared out. Drink as much

juice as you are hungry for. Lemon first thing in the morning is good.

Transition in and out of the cleanse on blended foods and fruit. The longer the

cleanse the more you need to be carefull of going back to solid foods too fast.

Are you straining your juice as well? I did when I was doing the feast from

January 15 - February 14. Strained the juice through a nutmilk bag.

Try: www.juicefeasting.com That's what I did. Basic juice was:

 

2 pounds greens

1 entire head of celery

1 large cucumber

 

Then I added whatever fresh fruit or vegetables I wanted to make 4 quarts.

Minimum of 4 quarts of juice were recommended for the day.

Yes, I have a K & K grinder and a hand press that I made. I use cotton cloth for

the press cloths and get very clear juice.
