No, I don't think it means they are finally going

to get rid of Bush. *lol*... But in the car this morning,

driving my daughter to school, I heard that this thursday

is the national great American meatout. Has anyone else

heard of that? Here in our area it is being sponsored by a

local chapter of the People for Animal Rights...or something

like that. It wasn't PETA, but another group, I know that much.

Anyway, several of the regions restaurants are going to host

promotions and serve special vegetarian dishes. Of course

this is mostly going to happen in the Ashland, Oregon area,

a bit of a drive for me, but still, I thought it was rather

interesting

that it is being done at all. Kind of nice actually.

Has anyone else heard of things being done in your area

of the US in honor of this event?

Yup Meatout is a annual event run by FARM (Farm Animal Reform Movement) &

it encourages people to give up meat one day a year (March 20th) to

" kick the meat habit " and promote a plant based diet. This was it's 19th

year.

See www.meatout.org and www.farmusa.org for more info.
