Guest guest
Hi there, Welcome to the group! I hear what you mean about eating and driving. As quoted in an all-time fave movie " That's about as handy as skiing and doing your taxes. " Here's an easy idea for a Pita Sandwich that should be relatively " clean " for eating in your car. Grab your favorite flavor of burger alternative (my current fave is the Gardenburger Portobello and Peppers flavor) and heat it up in a toaster oven or on the stove. (You can microwave it too, but the texture isn't as great.) In the meantime, fill half a pita pocket w/ baby spinach leaves, tomato slices, onion slices, pickles, or any other condiments you like. Once the burger is warmed through, slice it in half and place it over/under the condiments of your choice. Throw it in a plastic bag (or even better, a re-usable sandwich container) and voila! Protein and veggies all in one easy-to-eat delicious place.
Guest guest
This sounds really good. My latest fav is Gardenburger's Santa Fe. I will have to try the Portobello and Peppers flavor if I can find it. ~ feral ~ You think your pains and heartbreaks are unprecedented in the history of the world, but then you read. It was books that taught me that the things that tormented me were the very things that connected me with all the people who were alive, or who have ever been alive. ~James Baldwin, writer (1924-1987) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~> , " Jigilou Snicklefitz " < jigilou> wrote: > Hi there, > > Welcome to the group! Guest guest
I like to take what ever mood I'm into for a salad, but fill it into a burritto wrap, top with a little bit of dressing [or oil and vinegar, or whatever] roll and eat........real easy to eat in the car! I have been eating quite a few of these lately...the last one was baby spinach leaves, and mixed sprouts [alfalfa, onion and dill] on a sun dried tomato wrap spread with basil pesto. ~pixx On 21 Apr 2003 at 20:31, Jigilou Snicklefitz wrote: > I hear what you mean about eating and > driving.
