hi everyone I know at one time when wanting something easy to make

some of you must have had the old standby the classic frozen bean n

cheese burrito. I know amy's makes one with beans n rice n cheese or

is that cedarlane. anyway I wanted to say a friend of mine who has

been a vegetarian like all her life since her parents are 7th day

adventists turned me onto el monterrey bean n cheese burritos and

they come in ten packs too. they are kind of small so you might want

2 or 3 of them but they are good. one thing though they do tend to

fall apart in the microwave so we nick named them " fall apart

burritos " and its like what did you have for dinner? oh I had some

fall apart burritos. they reall are quite good though. let me know

some brands you guys like. sorry for my late night babbling I do mean

no harm stay cool Dave

How long do you microwave them? I've been buying frozen burritos (not

sure what brand) and the wrap seems to toast itself when I microwave

them.

Laurie,

If you've got a toaster oven, give that a try. Seems to work for

me...

I think I have had that brand before [el monterey]

and they are good for a quick meal in a pinch.

I have also bought a brand called Reesers.

Reesers sells them in both the freezer bags of ten,

which are small, and then in larger sizes individually

wrapped in the refrigerator section of Safeway and

other grocery markets out here in Oregon. Quite

delicious. I will usually nuke them for about 1 minute,

then top with a salsa or picante sauce and nuke for

the additional time until it is heated through. A little

shredded lettuce, chopped tomato, sliced black olives

and dollop of sour cream...mmmmm, quick dinner and

it doesn't heat up the kitchen on those hot Southern

Oregon summer days. :)

MMM, a milky chocolate coated flour tortilla filled with refried beans which

are infused with a touch of chunky peanut butter! Which way do YOU eat your

Reesers?

*rofl* Okay, okay, I just checked the spelling on my

flour tortilla package made by the same company

and they are called Resers, not Reesers.

It is a company based out of Beaverton, Oregon.

Chocolate and peanut butter with refried beans

sounds kind of good about now. ;)

Hey PT, lol, just playing with the word. It's actually Reeses, not Reesers

but I thought that was close enough. So ya wanna start up a new fusion

cuisine with me; Mexican food and candy?

We could wrap up Snickerz bars in enchiladas...Three Musketel bar

tamales...Peppohmint Patty fried ice-cream. All we need are some naive

investors and we're set!!

Cheers,

Shawn
