Guest guest
I live in a small town, or relatively small city of approx 35,000 people. We had two McD's and they just this last week opened a new one! Three in this place? Seems like three too many to me. I am hoping this mad-cow Canadian beef stock dive stuff with trickle down and these McD's will belly-up. Is that bad?*lol* Oh yeah, WalMart here is in the process of becoming a superstore with a grocery and fast food, rumor is it will be another McD...so that would make 4 in our town if that holds true. ~ feral ~ Non nobis solum sed toti mundo nati. Guest guest
Oh yes, small towns are havens for corps. to take over! Kills the small businesses. Most of my family live in a small town (bleh) and Wal-Mart and the fast-foods took that over in the mid-80's. I guess you are unlucky...I read that their expansions were minimal, domestically anyway. Keep an eye out for armys of Ronalds, muahaha. When are they going to start connecting MickeyD's to Star-Crups?....and which one should I sue for the coffee being too hot in mah crotch? LOL. Take care PT, Shawn Once, during Prohibition, I was forced to live on nothing but food and water. - W.C. Guest guest
I have absolutely nothing in the town I live it. Not even a post office!! You think your town is small!! LOL But the town I do my shopping in has three McD's. Plus one in our Wal-Mart super store. Guest guest
Is it wrong to wish the devil out of a job? It'd be one good thing to come out of the current BSE catastrophe. Sheesh, ain't we a lucky people: first WHO puts a travel ban on Toronto because of SARS (and I understand from press reports and from medics here that the powers that be in Toronto really did handle its containment badly) and now because of Mad Cow disease (and Canada always *swore* that our cattle were *not* fed canibalistic bits and pieces, so someone was telling porkies, it seems, since that's the way cattle get it). What next? Best, Pat > I am hoping this mad-cow > Canadian beef stock dive stuff with trickle down and > these McD's will belly-up.
