Guest guest
Have you tried the flavored hummus from Wild Oats? I love the tomato & basil, for example, or the roasted red pepper. mmm. Guest guest
Where can you get that at? Is it very expensive? We keep a couple on hand in the fridge, one fairly mild for a breadspread instead of margarine or butter (for toast or sandwiches) and one jazzed up with marvellous things for, well, when you want more jazzed up hummus for dips and stuff. I make them and freeze them in small containers ;=) And for those people not made of cash or without a money tree in the backyard, it's soooo much more economical anyway, besides tasting great when you make your own. There are lots of recipes out there for making the basic hummus - just pick one that works for you ;=) Best, Pat -- SANTBROWN townhounds/ http://www.angelfire.com/art/pendragon/ ---------- * " He who is cruel to animals becomes hard also in his dealings with men. Guest guest
We don't have a Wild Oats here. I did a search on their site a while back for a store in my area and the closest to me is way up in Bend, Oregon! Guess we are too small a town to rate one. Athenos is another brand of premade flavored hummus. All packaged hummus dips and spreads are expensive. It is just as good and way more frugal to buy the hummus powdered mix in the bulk bins, add water and olive oil, and other goodies like roasted garlic, basil, pesto, salsa etc. If you eat a lot of hummus, this is truely the way to go. ~ PT ~ ~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~~~~~~~~~> , The Stewarts <stews9@c...> wrote: > Have you tried the flavored hummus from Wild Oats?
