Guest guest
I have a great recipe for making your own taco seasoning packets, and that way you don't have to worry about chemicals or additives. It is also less expensive and you can adjust the flavor to fit your taste. Buy the spices in bulk, mix up a few packets, wrap in foil pouches, label the contents, and you have taco seasoning that is fresh and delicious; healthy, too. Taco Seasoning 2 tsp instant minced onion 1/2 tsp salt (more if you prefer) 1 tsp chili powder 1/2 tsp cornstarch 1/2 tsp crushed dried red pepper 1/2 tsp instant (dry kind) minced garlic 1/4 tsp dried oregano 1/2 tsp ground cumin Mix this all together and store in packets for up to 6 months in a cool dry place. Use as you would store-bought taco seasoning. Brown your TVP, add taco seasoning and 1/2 cup water and heat while stirring. When it thickens to how you like it, eat. ~ PT ~ My religion is to live--and die--without regret. ~ Milarepa ~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~~~~~~~~> , " Dave " <2davidm@g...> wrote: > ah good ole TVP yes thats my favorite form of soy protein cause for > one thing it doesn't try to be something it aint. seriously TVP water > and lawrys taco seasoning you cant go wrong.
