True....I guess it depends on how authentic you make it. Isn't it tradition

to smear the bottom of a wooden bowl with anchovies for a hint of flavor and

then stir the salad and ingredients in the bowl? It's probably lost a lot

of authenticity (here in the U.S.) and though you may find few bottles of

dressing with anchovies in it, I bet most don't. I have always made caesar

salads with a boxed salad kit and I don't remember seeing any anchovie

ingredients in it....could be wrong.
