Applebee's used to serve a Veggie Patch Pizza... God it was good. They called it an appetizer, but I used to order it as my meal. It had a big, flour tortilla as the " pizza crust " and they then put on a creamed spinach, topped it with chopped tomatoes, artichokes, what else? It's been so long since I had one I forget, but they topped it with parmesan cheese. It was SOOOO good. Yum. They also have a Santa Fe Chicken Salad that you can get minus the chicken that is awesome... I order it quite often for lunch, even though as you say it is an appetizer. I have also ordered the Santa Fe Chicken Salad, minus the meat and ask for some black beans instead. Love the list here, read it all the time! Phillip
Guest guest
I have been to an Applebees where the Veggie Patch Pizza was not on the menu anymore, but they were still able to make it for me. SO, if it's not there, ask for it!! > Applebee's in my area still has this veggie patch pizza and I love it as > well. Guest guest
Yes! I have ordered that veggie patch pizza for my meal at Applebees when my kids request to eat there. They also serve any of the hamburger combos they offer on the menu, and will replace the meat with a gardenburger if you ask. The gardenburger is no longer listed on the menu, but just ask and most probably still have it. Once I got a really good veggie burger with sauted mushrooms, swiss cheese and carmelized onions. Mmmmm. I am sure they are fattening; same goes for that veggie patch pizza, but for a plurge every once in a blue moon, it isn't that bad. Glad you enjoy the list. We are blessed with a great crew of friendly people. I have learned so much from them. ~ PT ~ Honest criticism is hard to take, particularly from a relative, a friend, an acquaintance, or a stranger. ~Franklin P.
