Doh! Guess i wasn't thinking properly when i replied. Although i do know pollo

is definitely chicken in italian - as well as spanish ;-)

" I believe that " el pollo loco " might be a name brand and not necessarily the

ingredients. "

Being in the UK i don't recognise many brand names mentioned on the list, if

any, so i guess it escaped me. We have hardly no mexican restaurants over here,

which is a shame coz i love mexican food. You'd be lucky to get a fajita in

most towns. The places that do mexican are usually american themed restaurants,

which unfortunately over here means huge chunks of steak and giant burgers, with

the occasional giant shrimp staring up at you! Ugh!

Hi Laura. I made some fantastic vegetarian enchiladas and refried beans.

They really turned out awesome. I'll be posting the recipes in the next few

days just in case you are getting Mexican food withdrawals. Personally, I

am currently suffering from Indian food withdrawals at the moment. :)

Adios,

Shawn

Shawn,

The current Vegetarian Times magazine has a bunch of Indian recipes in it if you

are looking for something new and or interesting. I haven't tried any yet, but

thought I'd mention it incase you'd like to pick up the mag.

Good grief! That sounds terrible! You need a fix quickest! There are

lots of quick Indian recipes out there - and the joy of most of them is

that you can *save* them once made cuz they taste even better the next

day or the day after ;=) Also quick Thai stirfries or longer cooking

curries, Indonesian curries or rice or noodles with veg., Sri Lankan ---

Don't suffer - indulge! *LOL*

Best,

Pat

Oh very cool Kelly thanks! I haven't picked up a copy in sooooo long and it

sounds like this edition is a perfect time to start up again. I have a nice

stack of copies from a few years ago....Veggie Life too. Thanks for the

hookup! :)

Cheers,

Haha...thanks Pat, I do definitely plan on indulging after I finish off my

current leftovers. I constantly make a channa/aloo dish but am looking for

something new. I've got a bag of basmati rice and a bag of dal in the

cupboards, ready to be torn open...I may have to make a bryiani and some

fresh naan...or maybe just head down to the cheap Pakistani places around

here and load up on tons of food and real good naan for cheap....havent

eaten a thing today and that surely is sounding mighty fine..if only I had a

butler....GARSON!

Take care,

Shawn

Ooh that would be great Shawn. I'm a bit late in reading this so if you have

already posted any recipes THANK YOU!

Ah, i can sympathise. I recently found some good sauces which i can have in my

local supermarket. They were exotic curry flavours. Yay!
