Guest guest
I will not deny that Michael Moore has a biased view of GW Bush. However, where DO you get your info about him? To assume that the mainstream news is not presenting an extremely biased view of him would be extremely naive, considering that newspapers are all catering to many of the same corporate interests that Bush caters to. As I have not read Stupid White Men yet, I cannot comment on the validity of it's sources, but I have read his first book and I believe he cited most of his claims from articles in major city newspapers. The guy does do his homework. I know naming the book " stupid white men " doesn't help in the objectivity department, but michael moore isn't a sociologist, he's a journalist. What mainly concerns me about your post is that you assume because bush is a christian he can do no wrong... haven't you considered the possibility he is just going through the motions? Merely going to church, referring to god, praying, and quoting the bible does not make one pious if they don't actually believe the principles. or to quote Tyler Durden, " Sticking feathers in your butt does not make you a chicken! " Not to mention how often the bible has been misinterpreted to justify evil (see: KKK, see also: colonialism, see also: killing animals for food, see also: sexism, etc. etc.) , DarinSuzyGates@a... wrote: > Not interested in reading what is probably what I consider somebody's slanted > view of him (in other words not telling both sides of a story). Guest guest
>I will not deny that Michael Moore has a biased view of GW Bush. We should probably move this to theferal_OT, but I'll just quickly point out that Moore is equally critical of Clinton and the Democrats in Stupid White Men, so I don't think he can be accused of being " slanted " against The Shrub. Wasn't it Thomas Jefferson who said something like: " Citizens who read are patriots of the highest order " ? It seems that our right wing friends are not patriots. And now back to our scheduled programme... Paul --
